Rice kheer is the most popular dessert in India.You can make it easily at home.we prepare Rice kheer on many occasions and festivals.I made it last time on Krishna Utsava that we celebrate on the next day of Janmashtmi. We prepare Pajiri and Rice Kheer as a dessert along with moong, chawal, kadi and puri.Kheer is loved by everyone and you can have it hot or cold.
INGREDIENTS
Rice(wiped from a wet cloth)-50 gm
Milk-1 kg
Sugar -100gm
Cardamom powder -1tsp
Chopped dry fruits-3 tsp
METHOD
Boil the milk.Add rice in it and low the flame.Boil them together. Rice will take almost half an hour to be soften and mix well with milk.stir in between.keep the flame low. Mix cardamom powder in it.now add sugar and boil it for another 10 Minutes.off the gas.Add dryfruits in it.kheer almost takes 1 hour to cook well.If you want to add saffron, you can add it by dissolving it in two tsp hot milk add in kheer with dry fruits. Rice kheer is ready to serve.
