CHANE KA ACHAR


My kids like this pickle very much. This is my mother in law recipe. Chana with raw mango gives a tangy flavour.
Ingredients
Raw mango 2 kg
Kabuli chana 1 kg
Salt
Haldi
Red chilli powder
Rai
Methi
Sounf
Jeera
Hing
Mustard oil
Method:
Grate the raw mango.add salt and haldi in it.keep it overnight. Next day add chana in it and keep it for next two day or until chana become little soft in water left by raw mango.Now roast all the spices except red chilli powder haldi,and salt. grind them coarsely. Grind the methi separately as it takes time to be grinded. Mix all the spices in chana.add more salt,haldi and red chilli powder according to your taste.heat the mustard oil and mix it to the chana. Chana should be dipped in oil. Chane ka achar is ready.its shelf life is more than one year.
