We always make two types of pak on JANMASHTMI, coconut pak and mix Meva Pak. It is made just like coconut pak. Choose dry fruit of your choice. I took almonds,cashews,pista,melon seeds and grated coconut. You can also take makhana.
INGREDIENTS
Almonds(grinded)-350 gm
Cashews(grinded) -300 gm
Melon seeds(Roasted and grinded) -200gm
Grated coconut -100gm
Pista(grinded) -50 gm
Sugar -1 kg
Khoya(Roasted) -300 gm
Cardamom (grinded and strained) -2tsp
Water-500 ml
Pista. (chopped) -10-20-to decorate
METHOD
Mix all the grinded dry fruits together. You can grind them coarsely or fine to make their powder.
Take water and suger In a pan. Prepare sugar Cyrus(chashni) of three strands.mix cardamom in it.Low the flame and mix khoya in it very well.Off the gas.Add mixed dryfruits powder in it.Spread ghee in a plate with the help of your fingers. Pour the prepared mixture in the plate to be set.Keep aside for twenty minutes. Cut in squares and decorate with chopped pista.mix Meva Pak is ready for prasad.
